Stephanie Peters is a mixed media artist from the Baltimore-Washington D.C. area. She received her B.A. in studio art and art history from the University of Arizona, in Tucson, in May 2009.
In Stephanie Peters work, she uses mixed media methods to reveal the unexpected with shapes, textures, and colors, in abstract and traditional compositions. Peters also explores ways to break the boundaries of a two-dimensional surface. By using materials like acrylic , ink, fabric, string, charcoal, and paper, she is able to bring imagination, energy, theory, and love into form. Peter’s work aims to mimic nature, and explore how humanity is provoked, inspired, and how we react and connect, to the ever changing natural environment, through a nature or nurture perspective.
